Well, I’ve had the journal for a while and actually been using it, so I thought it might be a good idea for me to actually put a bio here. Most of it can be figured out just from reading my journal, but for nosy rosy types (like me), here goes . . .
I’m 39 until October, when I turn the Big 4-0. Or maybe I’ll just stay 39! I’m a single mom of a great 12-year old boy. He’s a source of pride and frustration all at once. Dealing with a preteen is difficult. Too many changes going on.
I work as legal assistant for a small law firm and have for the past 16 years. Most days, it’s not too bad, but there are days when I would rather cover my head and stay in bed.
I go to a great church, and I’ll often post about something we’re studying or a good lesson that we got from the pastor or anyone else who might be speaking.
I’m also interested in movies, music, reading and writing. Contrary to popular belief, not all women like chick flicks, and I’m one of the ones who will watch them, but I don’t get a lot of enjoyment out of them. I love just about any type of music (except rap or hip hop), but most of the time I’m listening to Christian music lately. It keeps me going through the day. I also have a ton of books, but love Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I just don’t get a lot of time to read these days. One of these days, I’ll write my own book. It was something I discovered I had a talent for after my divorce in 1998, and I still love doing it.
Oh, and I love Ewan McGregor! =) You’ll probably find a lot of icons of him in my journal. Or Viggo Mortensen. Or Orlando Bloom. Or Heath Ledger. Or . . . well, you get the picture! =)
